Who we areThe solar and storage specialist. Experienced and trusted.

Since 2008 greentech has made solar parks its work. Building them was added in 2021, battery storage in 2024. Today around 200 people work on it in six European countries.

Our mission

We are paving the way to a world where green energy is a given. For everyone, at any time and everywhere.

An open field at dawn, mist on the horizon, pylons and wind turbines in the distance

One project, five business areas

How a solar park comes to life.

An open field at dawn with a farm track running to the horizon, mist over the hedges

Project development

01 / 05

It starts with a field.

We secure the land, measure every parcel and take the project through planning to ready to build: ground-mounted solar and battery storage.

Every parcel is measured before it is promised.

In Germany from 5 hectares for solar and from half a hectare for storage.

More on project development

A desk by a window: site plans, a laptop showing the field from the air and a monitor with a financial planning sheet

Asset management

02 / 05

The numbers are settled before the first post goes in.

Grid connection, power marketing and financing are structured in-house, together with institutional investors.

The solar park just finished, seen from the air: rows of modules on the field, white battery containers by the gate

Construction, EPC

03 / 05

Then it gets built.

Engineering, procurement and construction from one contractor: solar parks, battery storage and the grid connection.

More on construction

Two maintenance engineers in high-visibility vests walk a grass lane between two rows of modules

Plant operations

04 / 05

And it keeps running.

Technical and commercial management, monitoring and maintenance, for the whole life of the plant.

Technology

Illustrative module

One module.
Seven layers.

Type
Glass-glass, bifacial
Cells
144 half-cut
Format
2,278 × 1,134 × 30 mm, typical
Exploded drawing of a glass-glass solar module: frame, front glass, encapsulant, cell matrix, rear encapsulant, rear glass and junction boxes

Opened up

01 to 07

From the frame on top to the junction boxes underneath.

Aluminium frame

01 / 07

Stiffens the laminate and carries the clamps that hold it on the mounting table.

Front glass

02 / 07

Tempered solar glass. It lets the light through and keeps hail, wind and rain out.

Encapsulant

03 / 07

A clear film that bonds glass and cells and cushions the cells against stress.

Cell matrix

04 / 07

144 half-cut silicon cells. Halving the cells lowers electrical losses and softens the effect of partial shade.

Encapsulant (rear)

05 / 07

The second film that seals the cells from behind.

Rear glass

06 / 07

Glass on both sides makes the module durable and lets a bifacial cell also use light reflected from the ground.

Junction boxes

07 / 07

Three small boxes with bypass diodes collect the current and route it around shaded cell strings.

Wiesenhagen alone carries 100,143 of them.
